Marilynn and I wanted to say how happy and thrilled we were with Onyx at Michelle and Billy’s wedding Sunday evening.  I can’t tell you how many messages, phone calls and conversations we have had over the last couple of days with quest at the wedding and all of them start of by saying “the band was over the top”.  When we met Onyx at the showcase we saw energy and you promised us high energy and a great sound and Onyx delivered.  Please thank the band members from Marilynn and myself for helping create the perfect evening for our daughters wedding.  I want to wish you all much success in the future and I can promise you we will refer Onyx to anyone who wants to have the best time of their lives at their events.

Spectrum was fantastic!

Not only did they mold their repertoire to our needs, but they went over and beyond the call of duty throughout the night. They never took any breaks and played the whole noght through. The singers were spectacular, and the band kept the dance floor full all night. All of our guests said that Spectrum was the best wedding band that they have ever heard before. They were great at reading the crowd. Spectrum contributed to the best day of our lives.

I can’t imagine what the event would have been like without you. You added so much energy and really kept people engaged and excited throughout the evening. Loved your lighting set up. Not too flashy, but just enough to create some atmosphere. Especially liked that light box you put in front of your table. And, Bob – what a great auctioneer you are! I am sure your efforts brought in hundreds of extra dollars for the Girl Scouts. You have a great way of begging people to pay more and they feel good about it! Hi Bob, Travis and John –

Now that the dust has settled from the post-wedding activities, I wanted to make sure I dropped everyone a note to reiterate how much we enjoyed having Millennium as part of our wedding day. The band was FLAT OUT PHENOMENAL. I had very high expectations and you managed to exceed every one of them. I’ve heard a lot of wedding bands over the past few years as our friends have all gotten married, and I can say without a doubt that Millennium should be THE premier wedding band in Philly. It’s been more than 2 weeks since the wedding and we’re still talking about how good everyone was. Travis and Julie are amazing vocalists and the band behind them was just amazing. The song selection was perfect – exactly what we wanted – and our guests danced and enjoyed themselves all night thanks to the great music!! The acoustic set during dinner was a really special touch. At one point, we had half of our guests singing along with Travis as he did an awesome version of Piano Man.

We’re now on a mission to convince all of our friends who are getting married to hire Millennium for their weddings so that Sarah and I can see you guys again. Our wedding day was so much fun and we can contribute much of that to Millennium. Thanks for being a very special part of our very special day.

Kyle Steinle was our Videographer.

He was so nice to work with! He called me a few days before the wedding to make sure we were on the same page about what & when things would be occurring throughout our wedding night. He explained what equipment would be used to capture our wedding, where it would be placed, and for what reason. He even helped me to think of things regarding ceremony readings/traditions that I had not thought of. He explained that he does his absolute best to capture every moment, while keeping our event from looking like a movie set. Kyle really did do a great job of filming every important memory, while somehow seeming invisible! We promptly received our wedding DVD (about a month and a half) and I’m so happy that we ended up hiring Philly Event Group. We are able to hear, see and re-live our wedding night in quality picture.

MC Moses was the best we have ever seen! We used Philly Event Group for our B’nai mitzvah and we could not have been happier with the experience of the performance and also the customer care we received from the company. Everybody loved Moses! He knew what music to play and kept the dance floor packed the entire time. Moses’ dancers were a great part of the party as well. Moses showed up with a blow dryer and spiked up the kids hair which was a real fun added surprise that helped make the party go “over the top”. As parents we were very impressed with how Moses contacted us a few weeks before to go over everything and he even gave us his cell number in case we had any questions. We actually did need to talk with Moses before the event and he made us feel very comfortable. During the event Moses came over to me several times to check in and ask if I needed anything and to make sure I was happy with how the event was going. Moses just couldn’t do enough for us! This level of professionalism is a rare find and we were fortunate to have Moses and our entertainer. Our friends and family are still talking about how great our party was. I highly recommend Moses and Philly Event Group for anyone wanting a great party with a fantastic team of DJ, dancers, lights, and prizes all led by an outstanding MC.

A first impression is very important and that is the sole reason we selected DJ Johnny.  We had never heard him perform before but based on our initial phone conversation we were confident he was the perfect fit.  He was easy to talk to and very receptive to our hopes for the wedding.  He was even willing to meet with us in Maryland when we visited family in DC.  He always returned our phone calls promptly.  In fact, DJ Johnny was one of the few vendors that we didn’t have to worry about.

He was professional and very attentive to our requests.  He really listens to his clients.  He was able to read our guests perfectly and was able to keep everyone on the dance floor the entire evening!  He is very personable and approachable and many of our guests commented on how great he was!

Two perspective clients had the opportunity to visit the venue during our reception to check out DJ Johnny.  If the dance floor was any indication of his talents we’re sure they’ve already booked him!

Vassil/Knouse Wedding- October 22, 2011

It seems like a very long time ago that Jen, Craig and I came to see a preview of Encore in the studio.  I know that one of the few things people remember about a wedding is the food and the entertainment.  Thus, I emphasized to my daughter that the music was very important.  So when we heard Encore , we were sold!  High energy, talented personable entertainers and musicians, great play list, and right-on renditions are just a few of the qualities that made our decision easy.

It is no coincidence that we are receiving many kudos after the performance our guests experienced on October 22, 2011.  Everyone, without exception, commented on the band!  We wanted a party atmosphere, and you gave us that and more!  Even our photographers commented that having experienced many weddings themselves, ours was one of the top ones on their list as far as a “fun party wedding”.

I think this quote from Maya Angelou sums up our experience with Encore:“… people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” We wanted our guests to leave feeling that they had had a wonderful evening!  Thanks to all of you, we succeeded, even if the only measure was the packed dance floor!  To be sure, they will look back on this evening with great fondness.
