Testimonials
Hi Ben, Thanks for an AMAZING performance! I can’t tell you how many people have complimented us on the awesome band and asked for your information. Hopefully, you will get a lot more business from our referrals! The night was absolutely perfect and we had such a great time dancing it up with your band. Every song you played was just fantastic and the song selections were superb!
That is very cool that you are adding Sympathy for the Devil to your list because of us. You all did such a good job with that and as you saw everyone, especially those DKE Frat Boys enjoyed it. Hands down you are the BEST band we have seen at any wedding and are so glad we got to have you all perform at our event.
Hopefully we can work together again sometime down the road!
Sincerely, Michelle
My wife and I used Philly Event Group and for our wedding in June. They provided musicians for our ceremony and cocktail hour and the band Spectrum for our reception. PEG was great to work with and all the musicians were true professionals which absolutely made our wedding. Spectrum is an incredible band and we highly recommend them.
We had seen another PEG band, Black Tie, play at a wedding and contacted them about playing at ours. They were unfortunately already booked on our wedding date so we worked with Strickland Bonner from PEG to find another band. He came out to our house one evening with DVDs of all of the WTA’s bands so we could see and get a feel for each of them and narrow down the selection. This was probably the most helpful step in the selection process. After selecting the band Spectrum and deciding to use ceremony and cocktail hour musicians from PEG as well we negotiated the final contract through Strickland.
As the wedding approached we were put in direct contact with Ben from the band who handled all of the “day of” logistics such as timing, songs to learn, and play and do not play lists. He was also in contact with our event coordinator to run through the details as well.
We hired a keyboardist to play our ceremony music which sounded great and went smoothly. We also hired a pianist for our cocktail hour, which we didn’t get to hear because we were away taking photos, but were told by our guests was excellent.
Spectrum was absolutely amazing at our reception. One of the bands signers, George, acted as the MC and directed the evening. We had our first dance first and they learned our song for us which sounded great. During dinner they played softer ballads and jazz standards which really set a classy mood. After dinner George made an announcement that he wanted to see some people on the dance floor and I couldn’t believe how many people rushed up there. From that point on the dance floor was crowded all night. Spectrum was interactive with our guest, singing and dancing with them throughout the night. Spectrum played all genres of music from all time periods and did so in a manner which appealed to all of our guests.
Every one of our guests we have seen since our wedding has complimented us on Spectrum. They truly made our reception. My wife and I both wish that we had another event to plan just so that we could hire them again. I can’t say enough about Spectrum and the Philly Event Group and highly recommend them, they will not disappoint.

This band “SPECTRUM” was absolutely amazing! They were nothing but accomodating. We were able to change songs and the order of the reception
throughout the week approaching the wedding. They learned all of our special songs and sang them live for us, which was a much more personal touch as
compared to a recorded version. I would recommend them for any gathering that people would need entertainment. The three lead singers are the most personable
people we’ve ever met. Their attention and interaction with the crowd was one of the most enjoyable parts of the evening. They allowed the groom and groomsmen
got to sing a song to everyone, more directed at the bride, and the bride and bridesmaids also got up on stage and sang to everyone. This was a surprising and
unique touch. We were extremely happy with everything overall.

Spectrum performed at our wedding and they were AMAZING. They are talented, professional, and fun! They kept the dance floor packed with their energy and
charisma, and also served as a classy MC for announcements and schedule flow. We could feel that they were happy to celebrate our wedding with us and it created
such a special, positive vibe — cheesy but true! Countless guests commented on how wonderful the band was, and many were in disbelief that it was a band and
not a CD of the actual artist playing because the quality was so superb! This is the first review I’ve ever posted on WeddingWire — that’s how good they are. ![]()

I cannot recommend the band Spectrum enough. I was a bride who strongly considered a dj because I wanted very current music at my reception, in addition
to all the classics. Spectrum learned no fewer than 6 new songs at my specific request and performed them BETTER than the original acts. The band was lively,
engaged, talented, professional, and hit all the right notes (pun intended). You will not be disappointed.

As event professionals for more than 2o years, when we wanted to re-write the how-to-wedding book, we went to SPECTRUM to help write
our story. They played us into our ceremony, aced our first dance and even wrote us a custom song that we will treasure forever. To Ben, George, Meredith, Chet
and Jonathan, there are simply no words to express our sincere appreciation for making our wedding night the greatest ever!
It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter to praise Spectrum on their performance at our wedding in Altoona, PA on July 14th. My wife and I
searched for a band that would best reflect our personality. We looked at bands from Philadelphia, Baltimore , Pittsburgh , Harrisburg and Washington, D.C. -
Spectrum was a perfect match. The band’s innate ability to gauge the audience while still holding true to the predetermined playlist was incredible. Spectrum
took control of the party as soon as they began, seemingly placing the wedding on auto-pilot. The band’s experience was appreciated as they partnered with the venue to provide smooth transitions from speeches to special dances.Chet Fortune took control of the event from the moment the band arrived. He certainly provided the reassurance my wife and I needed as the
reception began. We know now why he is nicknamed Mr. Entertainment, the man surely did not disappoint.George left it all on stage that night. His ability to sound exactly like the original artist baffled us. We thought John Legend was in the
room with us! We later found out George performed with a dislocated hip that night. We were truly appreciative of his efforts as no one noticed while he was
performing. His dedication to the band was extremely heroic. Although it has been a year, we still receive compliments from our family and
friends on how our wedding was the best party they ever attended with the best band ever. We will recommend (and have recommended) Spectrum and Washington Talent and the Philly Event Group to any and all of our friends and hope to work together with you again in the future! Thanks again for helping create the best night of our lives!
Sincerely,
Robert and Sandra Weitzman
